You don’t need to stop going though your curriculum in order to incorporate popular songs OLD and NEW. You CAN teach music literacy skills and achieve many of your curricular outcomes by teaching popular music! During this two hour workshop, participants learned easy ways to arrange popular music, and what to be on the lookout/listening for when selecting repertoire; all while playing through multiple ukulele ensembles carefully curated and arranged by “Ukulele for Children” author Christina O’Brien.
